Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin Foundation

I received another box complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. I received the Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Foundation box. Inside the box was a full size foundation to try out for a 3 week challenge for better skin. The new Superstay Better Skin line is said to give an all-day flawless coverage and better looking skin in just a few weeks. It is also supposed to reduce the appearance of spots, bumps, dullness and give you brighter, move even skin. I decided to start the 3 week challenge the following day after I received my box.
My first impression: the foundation went on very smooth and looked great on the skin! It is very similar to the Maybelline Matte + Poreless founation that I always use. I decided to purchase the Maybelline Betterskin concealer as well to really get the full effect of the new line! I am in love with the concealer.
I have fairly oily skin, mostly in my t-zone, but while wearing this foundation after a few days, I realized it felt heavy and got very oily and thick feeling toward the end of the day. I usually touch up my face if needed with some translucent powder throughout the day, but with this foundation, I felt like I needed it more often.
After about 2 weeks, I wasn't absolutely loving the foundation, so I decided to use both the foundation from the box (Superstay Better Skin Foundation) and my current favorite Maybelline foundation (FitMe Matte + Poreless Foundation) together to see how that would work. This mix drastically changed the feel and look of the foundation on my skin. I feel this is a perfect combo!
After the 3 weeks was up, I compared my skin from before I started to the end. I didn’t notice much of a difference on spots, bumps, or dullness, but felt it did give me a brighter glow to the skin. Overall, I still really like the new foundation and will continue to use my mixture of the new one and the fitme matte + poreless, as well as the new concealer!
